Elizabeth was born in September 1858 in Cowpe.1  Elizabeth's father was Abraham Collings and her mother was Sarah Ann Asten.  Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Collins and Ann Mather. She had a brother and three sisters, named Ephriam, Mary, Amelia and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 5 in September 1863 in Rossendale.  She was buried on September 19th, 1863 in Newchurch in Rossendale.2 1
