Edith Buckley

Edith was born on November 11th, 1862 in Hooley Hill and her baptism took place on June 21st, 1863 in Audenshaw.¹²

Edith's father was Benjamin Buckley and her mother was Patience (Patricia) Oldham. Her paternal grandparents were John Buckley and Mary Crook; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Oldham and Sarah Hewitt. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Henry, Silas, Arthur, Sarah, Martha, Mary, Emma, Ellen, Beattie and Sarah. She was the seventh oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 71 on July 25th, 1934 in Ashton-under-Lyne.³
