Samuel was born on May 29th, 1842 in Northop and his baptism took place there on June 16th, 1842.¹²

Birth Notes

Samuel's father was Benjamin Bennett and his mother was Mary Hewitt. His paternal grandparents were Edward Bennett and Mary Hughes. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Humphrey, Banner, Joseph, Mary, Mary, Priscilla, Maria and Martha. He was the third oldest of the ten children.
