Elsie Ashall

Elsie was born in 1895 in Little Bolton and her baptism took place on October 13th, 1895 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

Elsie's father was John Henry Ashall and her mother was Louisa Pennington. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Pennington and Martha Mather. She had a brother and six sisters, named Harry, Lily, Jessie, Doris, Alice, Evelyn and Phylis. She was the second oldest of the eight children.

- Elsie may died young, so it was Henry and Lily who were executors of her father's Will.
  
  In 1911, Ellsie was 16. Only one child had died, and that was Alice in 1904.
