Johanne was born on October 9th, 1869.1   Johanne's father was Wilhelm (Henry) Carl Trauernicht and his mother was Catherine Bersche.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Trauernicht and Johanna Knobbe; his maternal grandparents were Louis Bersche and Anna Marie Moser. He had seven brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Wilhelm, Pa Heine, Theodore, Louis, Fred, Edward, Elizabeth, Augusta, Anna, Catherine, Marie and Tenny.  He was the third oldest of the thirteen children.  He died due to a medical problem, Cholera, at 8 months old on June 20th, 1870.  He was buried at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.1 1
