James Acie Straight 
James Acie was born on April 8th, 1830 in Monongalia County, West Virginia, USA. James Acie's father was Jacob K. Straight and his mother was Permelia Shuman. His paternal grandmother is Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were Henry Shuman and Sarah Temple Kendall. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Gabriel, Urias E., Levi J, William Milton, Alpheus Riley, Henry Newton, Permelia, Cyrenna, Elizabeth Ann and Mary Ellen. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 50 in 1880 in Roane, West Virginia, USA.-
