Martha Paralee was born about 1856 in Alabama, USA.1   Martha Paralee's father was Moses Sanders and her mother was Caroline Reed.  Her paternal grandparents are James Sanders and Louisa R. Coleman; her maternal grandparents are Absalom Reed and Mary A.. She had five brothers and three sisters, named James Martin, Elisha L., Moses Nathaniel, Albert Meranas, Wesley Andrew "Andy", Vicey, Mary Anne and Serena Adline.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died on July 1st, 1930 in Cordova, Walker, Alabama, USA.  She was buried on July 2nd, 1930 in Union Chapel Cemetery.2 2
