Ruth was born on 4-Sep-1923 in Belgard. Ruth's father was Paul Smollich and her mother was Lydia Willuhn. Her paternal grandparents were Michael Smollich and Emilie Bascheck. She was the oldest of three children. She had two sisters named Ursula and Irmgard. She died, at the age of 62, on 20-Jun-1986.
