Ursula was born on 25-Jun-1926 in Essen.  Ursula's father was Paul Smollich and her mother was Lydia Willuhn.  Her paternal grandparents were Michael Smollich and Emilie Bascheck.  She is the second of three children.  She had two sisters named Ruth and Irmgard.
