Edith was born on 18-Nov-1915 in Thorn/Westpr.. Edith's father was Michael Smollich and her mother was Emilie Bascheck. Her paternal grandfather was Johann Smollich. She was the sixth of seven children. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Paul, Kurt, Helene, Hanna, Charlotte and Hildegard. She died, at the age of 83, on 23-Sep-1999 due to natural causes or old age.
