William (Billy) Stapleton 
William, known as Billy, was born on June 14th, 1925 in Mellison. Billy's father was Michael Stapleton and his mother was Bridget Cahill. His paternal grandparents were Patrick Stapleton and Ellen Bartley; his maternal grandparents were Patrick Cahill and Margaret Walsh. He was an only child. He died at the age of 70 on October 24th, 1995 in Poynstown, New Birmingham.-
