Hendrik Willem was born on August 24th, 1886 in Amersfoort.1  Hendrik Willem's father was Dirk Veenendaal and his mother was Ingetje van der Velden.  His paternal grandparents were Hermanus Veenendaal and Steventje Schouten; his maternal grandparents were Hendrik van der Velden and Baaltje van den Thoolen. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Hermanus, Hendrik Willem, Antonie, Steventje and Berta.  He was the third youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 59 on March 25th, 1946 in Amersfoort.2
