Hendrik was born in 1834 in Amersfoort.1  Hendrik's father was Henrikus van Naarden and his mother was Barbara Veenendaal.  His maternal grandparents were Petrus/Pieter Veenendaal and Johanna Hiltrop. He had a brother named Pieter. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Jan, Nicolaas, Willem, Johanna, Cornelia and Johanna.  He died at the age of 30 on February 6th, 1864 in Amersfoort.1
