William Rack

William was born in 1856 in Kendal, Westmorland, England and his brith-milah (circumcision) took place there on February 13th, 1856. William's father was John Rack and his mother was Margaret Lishman. His paternal grandparents were John Rack and Jane Jessom. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, George, Thomas, Miles, Elizabeth, Maggie, Sarah and Margaret. He was the oldest of the nine children.
