Sally was born in 1772 in Barton-Upon-Humber, Lincoln, England and her christening took place there on June 19th, 1772.  Sally's father was William Rack and her mother was Elizabeth Smith. She had a brother and four sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Ann, Sarah and Isabel.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
