Ann was born in 1767 in Barton-Upon-Humber, Lincoln, England and her christening took place there on September 27th, 1767.  Ann's father was William Rack and her mother was Elizabeth Smith. She had a brother and four sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Sarah, Sally and Isabel.  She was the third oldest of the six children.
