Henry was born in 1852 in Covenham, Lincolnshire, England.  Henry's father was Mr William Freeston and his mother was Mrs Mary Kirk.  His paternal grandparents were Mr Joseph Gibson Freeston and Mrs; his maternal grandparents were Mr James Kirk and Mrs Mary Parker?. He had a brother and four sisters, named Robert, Ann, Elizabeth, Jane and Eliza.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 41 on January 31st, 1893 in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, England.  He was buried on February 4th, 1893 in Municipal Cemetary (Scartho Rd?).
