Ann was born in 1802 in Algarkirk, Lincolnshire, England and her baptism took place on July 11th, 1802 in St Peter and St Paul Church, Algarkirk, Lincolnshire, England.  Ann's father was Mr John Clark and her mother was Mrs Mary NK. She had six brothers and a sister, named Benjamin, Jonathan, John, John, Henry, Charles and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.
