George was born in 1872.  George's father was Alexander_II Nicholoevich Romanov and his mother was Catherine Yourievska.  His paternal grandparents were Nicholas_I Romanov and Charlotte of_Prussia.  He was the oldest of three children.  He had two sisters named Olga and Catherine.  He had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Nicholas Alexandrovich, Alexander_III Alexandrovich, Vladimir, Alexis, Serge Alexandrovich, Paul Alexandrovich, Alexandra Alexandrovna and Marie Alexandrovna.  He died at the age of 41 in 1913.
