Percival was born on August 1st, 1886.  Percival's father was Edward Davies and his mother was Rhoda Catherine  Sexton.  His maternal grandparents were John Sexton and Rhoda Pidwell. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Clarence , Ernest, Harry, Edith , Mabel , Frances and Olive.  He was the sixth oldest of the eight children.
