Ami was born on January 15th, 1840.  Ami's father was William Glover and his mother was Barbara Mayers.  His paternal grandparents were Amos Glover and Drusilla Spurgin. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Samuel, John, Harrison, Isaac, Lucian, Ezra, Mary, Kate, Sharlotte, Liza, Persis and Melinda.  He died at the age of 81 on April 22nd, 1921 in Brandonville W VA.  He was buried in Glover Cemetary.
