Marvin was born on April 11th, 1916 in Richartdon, ND.  Marvin's father was Bernard Helsper and his mother was Elizabeth Mary Schmid.  His paternal grandparents were Gottfried Helsper and Karoline Henrich.  He had a brother named Harvey.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 67 on October 28th, 1983 in Loma Linda, CA.
