William Simon Purnell

William Simon was born in September 1859 in Market Lavington, Wiltshire. William Simon's father was Simon Purnell and his mother was Sarah Ann Buckland. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Purnell and Catherine Knowles; his maternal grandparents are John Buckland and Elizabeth Smith. He has two sisters named Sarah Elizabeth and Mary Ann. He is the oldest of the three children. He has three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, Edward, John Coates, Sarah Ann and Caroline.
