Caroline Purnell

Caroline was born about 1880 in Scarborough, Yorks. Caroline's father was Simon Purnell and her mother was Hannah Coates. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Purnell and Catherine Knowles; her maternal grandfather was John Coates and her maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Appleby. She has three brothers and a sister, named John Coates, Edward, William and Sarah Ann. She is the youngest of the five children. She has a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William Simon, Sarah Elizabeth and Mary Ann.
