John Hill

John was born in March 1851 in Woodhouse, Leicestershire. John's father was William Hill and his mother was Sarah Brookesby. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Hill and Ann Saunders; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Brookesby and Dorothy Marston. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin, Jonathon, George C, Frank Henry, Anne, Mary Louisa, Sarah, Sarah and Elizabeth. He is the fifth oldest of the ten children.
