Benjamin Hill

Benjamin was born in December 1843 in Swithland, Leicester and his baptism took place there on November 12th, 1843. Benjamin's father was William Hill and his mother was Sarah Brookesby. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Hill and Ann Saunders; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Brookesby and Dorothy Marston. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Jonathon, George C, Frank Henry, Anne, Mary Louisa, Sarah, Sarah and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the ten children.
