Louisa was born on August 20th, 1952. Louisa's father was Paul Johannes van Blerk and her mother was Veronica Louisa Le Roux. Her paternal grandparents were Petrus Gerhadus Louw van Blerck and Sarah Margaretha Joubert. She has two brothers and a sister, named Gerhard, Le Roux and Paulette. She is the second oldest of the four children.
