Male William James Brown

William James was born on November 5th, 1831 in Sunderland, Durham, England.1   William James' father is Thomas Brown and his mother is Mary Rowland.  His paternal grandparents are James Brown and Mary Robinson. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Robert Hedley, James, Thomas, Mary and Ann Isabella.  He is the third oldest of the seven children.

William James and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on June 5th, 1855 in Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, England.2  They had three sons and four daughters, named William J, James, Thomas D, Mary, Hannah, Frances Ann and Alice Jane.
