Sarah was born on August 10th, 1683.  Sarah's father was Thomas Martin and her mother was Margery  Mendenhall.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Martin and Mary Martin; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Mendenhall and Joan Stroud  Stroads. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Moses, George, Thomas, Mary, Rachel, Hannah, Elinor, Marjoy and Susan.  She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 61 in 1744.
