Jacob was born in 1737.  Jacob's father was Benjamin Adams and his mother was Agnes Ezell.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Adams and Elizabeth Brunsdon. He had ten brothers and seven sisters, named William, John, Thomas, Daniel, James, Benjamin, Spencer, Jesse, Charles, Edmund, Frances, Elizabeth, Agnes, Martha, Anne, Sarah and Mary.  He was the sixth youngest of the eighteen children.  He died at the age of 96 on November 11th, 1833.
