Marrigien was born in 1759 in Westende and her baptism took place on November 11th, 1759 in Dwingeloo, The Netherlands.1   Marrigien's father was Jan Willems ALBERTS and her mother was Grietjen FRENS.  Her paternal grandparents were Willem Hermens ALBERTS and Annegje JANS. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Frens, Albert, Agnes and Agnes.  She was the youngest of the five children.
