Marcus, known as Max, was born on July 13th, 1894 in Vries (Drenthe), Holland.. Max's father was Willem ALBERTS and his mother was Vrouwkien SLOOTS. His paternal grandparents were Markus ALBERTS and Annechien EMMENS. He had a brother named Hendrik (Henk). He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 63 on December 28th, 1957 in Den Haag, Holland..

- At the time his son Hendrik was born in 1924, he was working at the "Redjosari" sugar factory near Madioen.
  
  In 1950 he worked at the "Meritjan" sugar factory in Kediri, Indonesia.

Max and Wilhelmine were married on December 1st, 1915.¹ Their marriage was annulled on June 7th, 1928 in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands.¹ They had five sons named Wim, Victor, Robert, Willy and Henk.
