Vrouwkien SLOOTS

Vrouwkien was born on October 3rd, 1861 in Assen, The Netherlands. She died at the age of 86 on August 14th, 1948 in Voorburg, The Netherlands.

General Notes
- The hat Vrouwkien is wearing, was given to her by her husband on their 25th Wedding Anniversary. The hat consists of 6 parts. A cap to cover her hair, two skull type golden plates which covered her skull, on top of that a white cotton cap, fastened with a golden decorated clasp and two side clasps. When going to church a black hat covered the lot. This golden ornament was a symbol of having achieved something in life.
