Edward TOMAN 
Edward was born on April 22nd, 1876 in Horni Rozinka, Moravia, Czechoslovakia. Edward's father was John TOMAN and his mother was Antonia ZITKA. His paternal grandparents were Jan (John) TOMAN and Josepha (Josephine) ZABRSA; his maternal grandfather is Michael ZITKA. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Anton J., Joseph, Frank, John Joseph, Julius Michael, Emalie (Emma) and Josephine A.. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died due to Died following a long illness. at the age of 77 on August 30th, 1953 in Nebraska City, Otoe, Nebraska.General Notes
There have been some conflicting reports that Edward TOMAN was born while on
the voyage to America. This is referenced in an article in the Cass County
book. According to to the ship records, Edward was something like 6 months old.
I couldn't located that record at the time that I'm writing this, but this is
what I remember seeing. The only thing that I'm a little sketchy on, is if he
was 6 months 3, or 9 months old.
Edward lived with his sister Josephine until her death in 1937, then lived with
his brother John Toman and his family. Ed had lost an eye.
