In 1851 census Mary Ann is working for Richard Burkitt of North Street Bourne. She was living in Bourne at the time of her marriage to John Lane in May 1859. In 1891she is not living with her family at Northorpe but working as a nurse for Edwin and Mary Ann Brackenbury, farmers at Carlby. In 1901she is at Cuckoo Farm Luffenham and her birth place was then given as Luffenham and not Castle Bytham.
A burial service was held for her at Thurlby, Lincolnshire but the position of her grave is not known as the records are unclear.
