Mary Elizabeth was born in March 1866 in Thurlby, Lincoln, England.1 Mary Elizabeth's father was John LANE and her mother was Mary Ann SHIPLEY. Her paternal grandparents were William LANE and Mary PATCHETT; her maternal grandparents were Matthew Bromley SHIPLEY and Elizabeth BURROWS. She had five brothers and five sisters, named George, Edmund, Tom Bryan, William, Thomas William Lane, Sarah Ann, Eliza, Susan, Fanny and Jane. She died at the age of 6 in January 1873 in Thurlby, Lincolnshire, England. She was buried on January 26th, 1873 in St Firmin's Church, Thurlby, Lincolnshire, England.1 1 -
