Susan was born on August 9th, 1871 in Thurlby, Lincoln, England.1 Susan's father was John LANE and her mother was Mary Ann SHIPLEY. Her paternal grandparents were William LANE and Mary PATCHETT; her maternal grandparents were Matthew Bromley SHIPLEY and Elizabeth BURROWS. She had five brothers and five sisters, named George, Edmund, Tom Bryan, William, Thomas William Lane, Sarah Ann, Eliza, Mary Elizabeth, Fanny and Jane. She died at the age of 66 on June 5th, 1938 in Thurlby, Lincolnshire, England. She was buried in June 1938 in St Firmin's Church, Thurlby, Lincolnshire, England.1 1 -
