Bridget was born on July 4th, 1838 in Douro, Peterborough, Ontario.. Bridget's father is Thomas MAY and her mother is Catherine MCCALLY. Her paternal grandparents were Timothy Franklin MAY and Ellen BRIERLY. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Michael, Peter, Ellen and Mary. She died at the age of 78 on December 25th, 1916 in Garner, Hancock County, Iowa. She was buried in St. Boniface, Garner, Garfield, Hancock, Iowa.1 General Notes

Census of 1910, Iowa, Hancock, Garfield, Dist 135, page 9/36 has age 69, married 52 years, 12 children of whom 9 lived, b. Canada, immigrated 1863.
Census of 1900, Iowa, Hancock, Garfield, Dist 123, p 16/26 has age 58, married 40 years, 12 children of whom 9 lived, b. July 1841 in Canada, immigrated 1864, able to read and write.
Census of 1870, Iowa, Clinton, Clinton, p 37/47 has age 30, keeping house, b. Canada West, both parents foreign born.
DJ SINNWELL has married to Michael TOBIN and died in 1917.
Bridget and Michael were married in a religious ceremony on February 3rd, 1856 in Peterborough, Ontario.2 They had six sons and three daughters, named Thomas John, Peter William, Edward, John Robert, Michael Henry, Lawrence A., Ellen M., Catherine A. and Mary Jane.

On the third of February 1856. I the undersigned priest, the three publications of the marriage banns being dispensed with by virtue of the Right Rev. Patrick Phelan, have married Michael Tobin son to Thomas Tobin and Jane Clifford on the one part to Bridget May daughter to Thomas May and Catherine Kilkaley (?) on the other part both of Douro in the presence of Thomas Tobin and Oney May. Edward was born on May 11th, 1864 in Douro, Peterborough, Ontario.2 He died at the age of 76 on November 5th, 1940 in Cherokee, Cherokee Co., Iowa.
John Robert TOBIN
John Robert was born on March 6th, 1869 in Clinton, Clinton, Iowa, United States.3 He died at the age of 68 on December 28th, 1937 in Milbank, Grant, South Dakota, United States. He was buried in St. Lawrence Cemetery.3
Michael Henry TOBIN
Michael Henry was born on November 2nd, 1871 in Clinton, Clinton Co., Iowa. He died at the age of 90 on August 6th, 1962 in Garner, Hancock Co., Iowa.
Catherine A. TOBIN
