Micheal James was born on September 1st, 1879 in Arcadia, Carroll County, Iowa.1 Micheal James' father was Richard P KENNY and his mother was Eliza LOVELY. His paternal grandparents were Thomas KENNY and Elenor PURCELL; his maternal grandparents were Edward LOVELY and Bridget DONNELLY. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Francis, William, Richard Lawrence, Edward Joseph, William Frances, Mary Ann, Ellen G, Bridget and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died due to Intestinal obstruction at the age of 71 on September 29th, 1950 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska.2 General Notes
Michael owned and operated Kenny & Shafer grocery. His brother William helped him.
He died at the hospital in his last days.
