Frantisek JANDA 
Frantisek was born on June 5th, 1852 in Plesice, Moravia, Czechoslovakia. Frantisek's father was Thomas JANDA and his mother was Marianna SEDLACEK. His paternal grandparents were Tomas JANDA and Elenora PROKES; his maternal grandfather was Frantisek SEDLACEK and his maternal grandmother is Marianna MANOV.. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Anton, Jacub, Cyril, Josef, Frantiska, Petronila and Karolina. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jan (John), Jacub and Marie. He died at the age of 87 on December 16th, 1939 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska.General Notes
Frank assisted in the construction of the Holy Rosary Church, and was highly
credited with the interior arrangements and decoration. He was the leader of
the famous Plattsmouth Band in the 1880's & 90's in which the Janda family made
up most of it.
He was a carpenter at the Burlington RR shops. It states that He and a Louise
Chmelka with their daughter Fannie(Mrs. Fred Heinrich) and his parents and 4
brothers and 3 sisters came to America in August 1, 1879, coming directly to
Nebraska.
According to the Plattsmouth Deed registers at the court house there, (Book #3, page 398), Frank purchased his house on 1-16-1882

Charles Frank was born on July 19th, 1888 in Nebraska. He died at the age of 61 on March 22nd, 1950.
Stuart JANDA
