Thomas was born in September 1792.  Thomas' father was Thomas Skewes and his mother was Mary Truren.  His paternal grandparents were Martin Skewes and Mary Polkinghorne. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Richard, John, William, Richard, Thomas, Mary and Susanna.  He died at the age of 82 on March 15th, 1875.
