Martin was born in April 1701.  Martin's father was Digory Skewes and his mother is <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Skewes and Bridget Williams. He had a brother and three sisters, named Richard, Mary, Margaret and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 62 on March 15th, 1764.
