Peter was born in July 1780.  Peter's father was Henry Skewes and his mother was Mary Jolly.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Skewes and Margery Behenna. He had three brothers named Peter, Henry and Richard.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 1 in November 1781.
