Ann was born in June 1806.  Ann's father was Ferdinando Behenna and her mother was Ann Tregaskis.  Her paternal grandparents were Ferdinando Behenna and Mary Skewes. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry, James, Mary and Jane.  She was the second youngest of the five children.
