John was born in 1810 in Castleford or Kelfield, W. Yorkshire and his baptism took place on August 25th, 1810 in Castleford, N. Yorkshire.1   John's father was John Ware and his mother was Hannah Deane.  His maternal grandparents were John Deane and Unknown (Catherine Higgins?) (= John Deane). He had four sisters named Sarah, Ann, Charlotte and Harriet.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died in Guisborough, N. Yorkshire.2
