Charlotte was born in 1824 in Castleford, W. Yorkshire.1   Charlotte's father was John Ware and her mother was Hannah Deane.  Her maternal grandparents were John Deane and Unknown (Catherine Higgins?) (= John Deane). She had a brother and three sisters, named John, Sarah, Ann and Harriet.  She was the fourth oldest of the five children.
