Josef was born on January 10th, 1803 in Moravské Křižánky.  Josef's father was Josef Henry Bukáček and his mother was Anna Polanská. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Josef, František, Jan, Václav, Ignác, Václav, Anna, Maria Anna, Barbora, Františka and Terezie.  He was the nineth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 79 on August 4th, 1882 in Moravské Křižánky.
