Joseph Wallis

Joseph was born in 1840 in Tennessee.  Joseph's father was Timothy M. Wallis and his mother was Mary Ann Brewer (Wallis).  His paternal grandparents were Issac W. Wallis and Elizabeth Hobson (Wallis); his maternal grandparents were George Brewer and Jane Buttler (Brewer). He had seven brothers and two sisters, named James, Alexander, William, Anderson, Allen, Jonas, John, Elizabeth and Margaret.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.
