Adison was born in August 1882 in Tennessee.  Adison's father was William Sisco and his mother was Alice R. Clayton (Sisco). He had five brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Walter, Will, Moore, Clark, Lula and Bessie.  He was the oldest of the eight children.
