Hilleke was born in February 1760 in Meeuwen and her baptism took place there on February 3rd, 1760.1   Her godmother was Ariaendje van Sinttruijen. Hilleke's father was Peeter Vos and her mother was Anna Maria van Sinttruijen.  Her paternal grandparents were Gerrit Vos and Cornelia van Hagoort; her maternal grandparents were Frederik Mattheuszn van Sinttruijen and Hilleke Petersdr van den Assem. She had four brothers named Gerrit, Pe(e)ter, Jan and Hendrik.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 63 on June 28th, 1823 in Meeuwen.2
